Plastisches Gestalten

Sculpture
All spatial and physical experience is based on the perception of plasticity. This world of edges, surfaces, angles and volumes is best experienced not through thinking and theory but through one’s own plastic activity. Therefore, our own creative handling of the simplest forms is at the center of our work. Learning to sculpt, making sculptures. What shape does a simple form take, why? What is its relation to the surface, to the space and to other forms? The focus is on becoming aware of the relationships between forms. At the same time, the basics of one’s own artistic work with clay will be combined with theoretical elements of an introduction to the meaning, history and characteristics of modern plastic art and its anthropological references.
