Becoming a Global Witness in the Calais Jungle
Despite the eviction of the Calais 'Jungle' in October 2016, there are still around 1,500 refugees sleeping rough in the forests in northern France. They are not just statistics — they are human beings with faces and names. The goal of this seminar is to humanise faceless refugees by witnessing and helping them as volunteers in Calais (21.03.–27.03.2027). Before this excursion you will gain knowledge about the method of Global Social Witnessing to develop your bearing-witness competence. The cost for accommodation and food will be approximately €200 in total.
