One Health and Planetary Health – Foundations and Proposed Solutions for Overcoming the Crisis
Prof. Dr. med. Friedrich Edelhäuser
On humanity's self-image in the face of the global environmental crisis: One Health, Planetary Health and the question of what we can and must learn (about ourselves) in order to learn to live differently with nature.
In light of the existential, global and human-made environmental crisis, we will explore this question through the lens of key ecological challenges for the future, guided by the search for how humans and the planet can coexist in a new way.
The content will be delivered by an interdisciplinary team of experts from the natural sciences, art history, education, cultural anthropology, medicine, nutritional science and agriculture. Together with you, we want to embark on a quest for solutions, guided by questions.
"The world as we have made it is the result of our thinking. It cannot therefore be changed without changing our thinking." (Albert Einstein)
"Our stories have power. If we regard the world as dead, we will kill it. If we regard it as alive, we will learn how we can serve its healing." (Charles Eisenstein)
