Through our bodies, we inhabit the world; through them, we perceive and express ourselves. But how consciously do we listen to them? This seminar focuses on movement and physical experience. We explore what the body tells us about ourselves and how it can guide us in the present moment.

Through shared experience, we will explore the connection between movement, perception and vulnerability. Here, vulnerability does not mean weakness, but rather a subtle quality of perception: being open, being touchable, being truly present. How do I express who I am? What happens when feelings such as shame, fear, anger, sadness or joy arise in the body?

It takes courage to break down our own defences and simply be present with everything that moves us – playfully, gently and mindfully. In the present moment, in contact with our own bodies and with others in the group. Shame, fear, joy, grief – everything is allowed to arise and be processed.

The seminar invites you to perceive your own body anew, to develop curiosity and presence, and to mindfully explore the relationship between the self, the group and society. Throughout, insights from the research project “Vulnerability as a Resource” are incorporated.

The framework is thoughtfully designed – your personal boundaries are respected at all times.

Andrea Kreisel, B.A.
