The topic of climate change is discussed in the context of the Anthropocene. The scientific basis of the debate on climate change is explained, and the various causes, effects and potential solutions are discussed in depth.

A notable feature is the interdisciplinary approach, with lecturers from various disciplines demonstrating the implications of climate change for their respective fields and potential solutions.

Students from Students for Future participate in the event by engaging in discussions with the lecturers, critically examining the content, and contributing their own insights on climate activism.

The programme is based on the principles of transformative education. As well as providing sound knowledge about the causes and consequences of climate change, it presents solutions in the form of alternative lifestyles and approaches designed to empower participants to contribute actively to solving this global challenge.

Kathrin Brommer

Mein Name ist Kathrin Brommer. Nach nunmehr sieben Jahren als Koordinatorin der FreiwilligenAgentur Witten, bin ich seit März 2022 als Referentin für Service Learning und Gesellschaftliches Engagement im WittenLab.Zukunftslabor Studium Fundamentale der Universität Witten/Herdecke tätig. Mir liegt sehr daran,
