Expansion of the Art Zone
What happens when a text duplicates itself and in doing so challenges the rules of authorship, originality, and value? When overproduction becomes an aesthetic, trash becomes insight, provocation becomes a way of thinking and humor becomes a method? How do ideas arise? Who owns them? And what happens when they are copied, reproduced, or reassembled? How can communication and dialogue skills be expanded in a humorous and creative way? What artistic means can I use to enhance my personal presence? How much imagination is actually contained in a list, and how much student intervention on campus can arise from it?
In this seminar we creatively engage with an unusual text consisting almost entirely of titles: “2 x 241 Titel Doppelt So Gut Wie Martin Kippenberger” by the author collective Frankfurter Hauptschule.
We experiment with new forms of expression.
New titles.
New ways of thinking.
New perspectives on art, politics, and the present.
And we’re creating a campus that briefly turns the spotlight on itself.
Everyone who posts, captions, snippets, claims, taglines, slogans, and hooks on a daily basis is welcome!
