Argument and Adrenalin. Discussion as an Epistemic Method
Discussing is a skill that must be learned. How can we continue to argue reasonably when we have serious differences of opinion — whether political, personal, religious, or moral — and all are convinced that not everyone's beliefs can be equally correct? Get out of your own bubble! In the Stufu seminar, we will try out in practice whether there are rules of argumentation that help us to engage with each other discursively. This offers great opportunities for insight. We will also familiarize ourselves with some theoretical views on what argumentation is all about (from Aristotle to Habermas).
