_Moby-Dick_ is, as a human accomplishment, a whale! It is an astounding piece of writing. We will read it with great scrutiny upon Ahab as the alpha and omega of the action–of the point!–of the book. Yeah, what is the point of this book??? What is this book about? I’ll bring in some thoughts from left field for us to consider. Regular attendance and regular reading will be a must in this course. It will be conducted entirely in English.
