Witten/Herdecke University Choir

This semester we are continuing to work on the full-length cantata „Stabat mater“ op. 58 by Antonín Dvořák, which we will perform three times in December/January together with external soloists and our university orchestra. New members – especially in the male voices – are very welcome! Please note the extra dates for the rehearsal weekend, the final rehearsals and the concerts:
8th (evening) to 10th November (afternoon) 2024: Rehearsal weekend in the Biggesee youth hostel (Olpe)
Monday, December 16th, 2024, 7-11 p.m.: Main rehearsal in the UW/H
Wednesday, December 18th, 2024, 7-11 p.m.: Dress rehearsal in the UW/H
Friday, December 20th, 2024, 7:30 p.m.: Concert I in the UW/H
Wednesday, January 8th, 2025, 7:15 p.m.-10 p.m.: Choir rehearsal
Thursday, January 9th, 2025, 7:15 p.m.-10 p.m.: Orchestra rehearsal
Friday, January 10th, 2025, 7-11 p.m.: Joint rehearsal in the UW/H
Saturday, January 11, 2025, 6 p.m.: Concert II in the UW/H
Sunday, January 12, 2025: 4 p.m.: Concert III in Holzwickede

What do I need to know to participate?
Enjoy singing. Choir experience is welcome but not necessary. Regular, punctual and active participation!
