Scorecard – Producing a radio play by your self
One beautiful, unsuspecting morning, bullets fly through the university. The strongest guys buckle like blades of grass. Is someone freaking out because of exam stress? Or is this a professional hostage-taking with a rampage attached? Is it the result of rivalry between two young scientists? ... Mankowski, a detective with a scrappage bonus hanging over his head, is stuck in a rut. Until suddenly... Or has he just fallen in love again?
That's the setting for the radio play that will be developed together in this two-semester seminar: from the “script,” written by the students themselves, to the acting out of the scenes, to the addition of acoustic backdrops and the composition of sound and music tracks – from writing to mixing! The plot and script were developed during the winter semester; the summer semester is now about implementing the whole thing and turning it into a real listening experience.
The radio play is then scheduled to be presented to the public on July 1, 2026.
Ulrich Land
Ulrich Land ist Radiomacher, Moderator und Autor von mehr als hundert Hörspielen und Radiofeatures beim WDR und anderen ARD-Sendern. Außerdem hat er 15 Romane veröffentlicht, zum großen Teil historische Krimis. Seit 2005 unterrichtet er an der Uni Witten/Herdecke und leitet dort Hörspiel-Workshops und Creative Writing-Seminare.
