One Health and Planetary Health – Fundamentals and proposed solutions for ways out of the crisis

Humanity's self-image in light of the global environmental crisis: One Health, Planetary Health and the question of what we can and must learn (about ourselves) in order to learn to live differently with nature.
In view of the existential, global environmental crisis caused by us humans, we will explore this question in relation to the central ecological challenges of the future, guided by the search for new ways in which humans and the planet can coexist.
The content will be taught by an interdisciplinary team from the fields of natural sciences, art history, education, cultural anthropology, medicine, nutritional science and agriculture. Together with you, we want to embark on a quest for solutions.

Prof. Dr. med. Friedrich Edelhäuser ist Neurologe, Chefarzt der Abteilung für Frührehabilitation am Gemeinschaftskrankenhaus Herdecke. Kollegiale Leitung des Integrierten Begleitstudiums Anthroposophische Medizin. Ich interessiere mich für den Zusammenhang von Wahrnehmen und Bewegen, Introspektionsforschung (Erste-Person-Perspektive), moderne aktivitäts- und teambasierte Unterrichtsdidaktik, Teambildungs-, Aus- und Weiterbildungsfragen, One Health, Planetary Health und ökologische Medizin.
Objectives & Competences
The content is taught by an interdisciplinary team of experts from the fields of natural sciences, art history, education, cultural anthropology, medicine, nutrition science and agriculture.
Focus: Essential aspects of global ecology will be addressed. At the same time, we will always be guided by the question of what we can learn about human beings, about ourselves and human characteristics, especially with regard to health, healthy coexistence with one another and with the earth.
